Video chat in high-resolution

If you use video chat in orkut, you might be interested in a new feature we just rolled out: now you can video chat with your friends in high-resolution! It’s like talking face-to-face with them, directly from your orkut pages.

To enable it, click "Options" at the bottom of your orkut chat list, then "Chat Settings". In the settings window that will open, check the "Enable high-resolution video" option, and you’re done! Right away, if you and the friend you're chatting to have both enabled this option, you will be video chat chatting in a much higher resolution.

And if you’ve never used video chat in orkut before, it’s really easy to get started. Once you have a webcam and a microphone, you just need to download a small plugin, available for free at www.google.com/chat/video

Oh, and for Linux users, we’re pleased to announce that video chat now supports Linux too. But don’t panic if you don’t see the high-resolution video checkbox - we’ve designed our Linux version from the ground up for this new feature, so it’s always on for you.

Infinite USB Concept

One of the limitations in your laptop is the lack of  USB ports in proportion to the number of devices you would like to connect, the two or three USB ports your laptop afford are aren’t enough. For such lack of ports here is a Infinite USB concept that can be stacked one on other.  Infinite USB is just a concept for time being. The different colors of the USB device makes it easy to identify which device is connected to the port.

However there is a serious problem with this Infinite concept. The USB devices are stacked one on another, unplugging the first USB device means unplugging all the devices which causes some frustration if you are in middle of transferring files or backing up your hard drive  .

Orkut Attacked By Spam “Bom Sabado” But Those Using Older Version Of Orkut Not Affected

Few days back, I published about a news telling all my readers about the new spam which has been detected in Twitter and there I also mentioned a remedy for that spam. That spam was related to sending of Direct Message to all of your friends in the friend list. Now again a similar spam has been detected on Orkut and this spam has send lots of scraps and these messages are in Portuguese language.

Now we know that Orkut is widely famous in Brazil and it is expected that Orkut has been hacked from that country. The message which is being received is ‘Bom Sabado’ which means Happy Saturday. So, it can be easily concluded that Orkut has been hacked from that country and lets see that how much will Google take to resolve this issue. you can follow the steps mentioned, if you have been affected by this problem or XSS attack.

• First of all change your version of Orkut, i.e. switch to the older version of orkut.
• Then sign out of your account.
• Now, delete the temporary files, browser’s cache and cookies. Sometimes it happens that by clicking on a link your cookie is transferred to the hackers location.
• Login to your account again and then change the password of your account and also change the security question of your account.

As I already mentioned that not only Orkut, but Twitter and Youtube have already been effected. Not only this, but this word which has been written in the scrap is among one of the most top searched keyword these days. So next time if you see this word written in your scrap, then in no time you should get the idea that your account has been hacked.

So, the most appropriate action can be waiting for the response of Google and till then try your best to stay away from Orkut and need not to worry as we will be updating about this news again and again and you will know when this issue will be resolved. Almost every person who uses a laptop wants to know about the exact timing of the battery backup remaining on the laptop. Yesterday I was googling for the same and I found this amazing utility called BatteryBar.

BatteryBar is very simple tool which calculates the battery backup time as per the remaining percentage of battery you are left with on your laptop and displays it in the taskbar in the form of battery bar. BatteryBar displays the time left on your battery in hours:minutes format.

 

BatteryBar does not include any help file or executable associated with it loads few dll and gets embedded with windows explorer.
