Good news again! Nokia has released a new firmware update for our Nokia 5800 XpressMusic phone. The firmware update is v.51.0.006 and its not a major update unfortunately. The minor update contains some performance improvements and bug fixes.You can download the latest firmware update v51.0.006 Over The Air (OTA) now. Its not available via Nokia Software Updater utility as of yet. Remember the update is not yet available for all product codes and geographical regions. Check the changelog below.

To check if the firmware update is available for you- just enter *#0000# on your dial screen and go to options- check for updates. You can also check this Nokia page to see if the update is available for your product code yet.
Even though Nokia 5800 has User Data Prevention (UDP) feature, its still advised to backup everything before you run the update on your device. The update should roll out worldwide and for all product codes soon in few days/ weeks. So if its not available for you, just wait for a while as it has nothing great to try changing product codes just to get your hands on it.
