How to Add Delete Button in Windows Explorer in Windows 7

windows 7By default, Windows 7 doesn’t have the Delete button on the Windows Explorer toolbar.  Such button is quite useful because it  lets you delete files and folders without right-clicking them, thus saving one step. This quick hack will show you how to add the delete button in the Windows Explorer toolbar in your Windows 7 operating system.
  1. Click Start.
  2. In the Search field, type regedit and press Enter.
  3. Locate the following  registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ Windows\CurrentVersion\ Explorer\ FolderTypes
  4. In the left pane, under FolderTypes take Administrator rights of the following keys:
    • {5c4f28b5-f869-4e84-8e60-f11db97c5cc7}
    • {5fa96407-7e77-483c-ac93-691d05850de8}
    • {7d49d726-3c21-4f05-99aa-fdc2c9474656}
    • {94d6ddcc-4a68-4175-a374-bd584a510b78}
    • {b3690e58-e961-423b-b687-386ebfd83239}
  5. To take Full Administrator Right of these keys, right click them, click the Permissions option and take full permission rights.
  6. Now, you can safely close the regedit.
  7. Download this little file.
  8. Right-click the file (which should be on your computer by now) and from the menu, select Merge.
  9. Click Run and Yes if prompted.
  10. Restart the computer for the changes to take effect.
