Configure gmail for better performance using Labs – 2

This post is the continuation of existing blog post Configure gmail for better performance using Labs

Apart from the lab features mentioned in the previous post, here are some more:

Inbox preview : Are you so curious to check your mail that you cannot wait till the inbox loads? Then the solution is to use this lab feature. You get a preview of the inbox, while the inbox is getting loaded, so that you can take a glimpse on the mails you have received lately.

Mouse gestures : Don’t you come back to inbox, after reading every mail. After coming to inbox, you click the next mail to read it right? If you think you lose time in this, then enable mouse gestures. You get to move from one conversation to another by right clicking the mouse and moving it towards right or left, based on whether you need to go to the next conversation or previous conversation.

Auto-advance : When you  delete an email, don’t you go back to inbox? Turn this feature on, and you will automatically move to the next conversation, when you delete or archive the current conversation.

Google calendar gadget : Enable this to see a small calendar below your chat box, where you can add and manage events

Navbar drag and drop : This lab feature allows you to drag and drop various navbars in your gmail page like your chat box, may be your google calender gadget, or any other gadget in labs, or that you have added by URL in positions where you desire them to be.
